The Community Development Department provides a variety of development, business, and neighborhood services directly related to enhancing the quality of life in Moreno Valley.
The Community Development Department provides development and quality control services through three divisions:
and the Land Development Division (in the Public Works Department).
Community Development administers development review and project entitlement activities, performs long range planning involving land use and community growth, and maintains the City's general plan. It also performs building plan review and field inspection, and issues building and related permits. Community Development administers a comprehensive code compliance program, in cooperation with the police, fire, public works and environmental health departments.
