Officer Ernie Esquibel
Officer Ernie Esquibel was hired by the Riverside County Sheriff's Department on July 16, 2007. He attended the Riverside Sheriff's Academy and graduated on January 29, 2008. Officer Esquibel was transferred to the Moreno Valley station, where he was assigned to Patrol and as a school resource officer.
Officer Esquibel is currently assigned to the Special Enforcement Team - Career Criminal Apprehension Team and has been specifically working with Gang Intervention within our City. During his short time with the team, Officer Esquibel has already made over 220 felony arrests this year. |

Investigator Duke Viveros
Investigator Duke Viveros joined the Riverside County Sheriffs Department in 1986, where he worked at the Riverside County jail. Two years later Investigator Viveros was transferred to the Moreno Valley station and worked a patrol position along with the Special Enforcement Team (SET) narcotics and gangs. Investigator Viveros promoted to the Investigator Bureau, within the station in 2000 and worked homicide, robberies and sexual assault cases. During his time as an investigator, Duke Viveros has had several accomplishments to include, officer of the quarter and Latino Officer of the Year. Investigator Viveros is currently assigned to the Special Enforcement Team working cases consisting of gangs and narcotics. |

Officer Kevin Dixon
In 2007, Officer Dixon joined the Riverside Sheriffs Department and attended the Riverside Sheriffs Academy. After the academy, Office Dixon was assigned to patrol at the Moreno Valley Police Department , in 2008.
Officer Dixon was later assigned to the Special Enforcement Team, Gang Unit, from August 2010 to March 2011. Officer Dixon is currently assigned to a Patrol position, within the Moreno Valley Police Department. |

Officer Michael Koehler
In 2005, Officer Koehler joined the Riverside Sheriffs Department and attended the Riverside Sheriffs Academy where he was elected Class President by his peers. Officer Koehler was assigned to Patrol Operations at MVPD where he worked uniform patrol and as a Field Training Officer, until joining the Problem Oriented Policing Team, in September 2008. Officer Koehler is currently assigned to the Problem Oriented Policing Team where he works to address quality of life issues for Moreno Valley residents. |

Cpl. Michael Lopez
Cpl. Michael Lopez has been employed with the Riverside County Sheriff's Department since April 21' 1981. Cpl. Lopez was transferred to the city of Sunnymead in 1983, one year prior to the city incorporating as Moreno Valley. While assigned to Moreno Valley, Cpl. Lopez has worked as a School Resource Officer, a gang officer, with the Special Enforcement Team and is currently working a patrol position. |

Officer Ted Morgan
Officer Morgan has been a Police Officer since 1996. Prior to being assigned to the Moreno Valley Police Department, he worked at the Southwest Detention Center as a patrol officer, along with the Jurupa Valley Station.
Officer Morgan expressed an interest in being a Motor Officer and was transferred to the Moreno Valley Police Department in 2004. From 2004 to 2005, Officer Morgan worked as a patrol officer and was recognized twice by the Moreno Valley Chamber of Commerce for his numerous arrests for vehicle thefts, burglaries, narcotics sales and possession cases.
In 2005, Officer Morgan was selected to join the Moreno Valley Motor Team, where he is currently assigned. During his time as a motor officer, Officer Morgan received a Unit Citation Award from the Sheriff and numerous awards from the California Office of Traffic Safety (OTS).

Officer Kevin Couch
Officer Kevin Couch began his law enforcement career at the Moreno Valley Police Department, in September of 1999, where he worked a patrol position and as a school resource officer for Moreno Valley High School.
Officer Couch is currently assigned to Administration, within the Moreno Valley Police Station. Officer Couch oversees numerous station construction projects, along with being the safety officer for the Moreno Valley Police Department. |
