Get on Board and Read @ your library
Teens can win a chance to meet skateboard legend Tony Hawk

The Moreno Valley Public Library, HERSHEY®'S Milk and MilkShakes, and the American Library Association want you to ramp up for an exciting new teen reading program called Get on Board and Read @ your library. The program invites teens to grab a book for their chance to meet skateboard pro Tony Hawk.

All teens have to do is check out a favorite book from the Moreno Valley Public Library and create an entry about how the book is meaningful to them. Entries may be submitted in a written essay or a creative entry consisting of a poem, painting or video. Teens also have the option of working alone or in a group of up to four of their friends. Before they can send in the entry, a librarian from the Moreno Valley Public Library must sign the official entry form available on the Get on Board and Read @ your library Web site at www.hersheysmilk.com.

"Get on Board and Read @ your library is a great way to invite teens into the library to be able to showcase all of the great resources that we have available to them" says librarian April Nava.

Six runners up will either receive a copy of Tony's book, Hawk: Occupation: Skateboarder or one-months supply of HERSHEY'S Milk.

Get on Board and Read @ your library is part of @ your library®, The Campaign for America's Libraries, sponsored by the American Library Association and libraries nationwide to remind the public about the value of libraries and librarians in the 21st century.
