Moreno Valley GIS Reports go Online

On Monday, July 31, 2006, Moreno Valley’s Technology Services Division introduced Moreno Valley’s GIS Reports Online system, which provides Internet access to Moreno Valley’s Geographic Information System.

Find the link at http://www.moreno-valley.ca.us/ Click on “See City Reports” on the left hand side of the page, or launch your full report from Moreno Valley GIS Maps Online section.

“GIS Reports Online will serve as a ‘One Stop Shop’ for property information and should reduce hundreds of phone calls and visits to City Hall for property information,” said GIS Coordinator, Mike Heslin. “The information can be accessed wherever an online connection is available,” he said.

Geographic Information Systems, or GIS, is a computer technology that combines geographic data and other types of information to generate visual maps and reports. This service provides immediate and timesaving information to many city departments and allows the public direct access to information.

Simply enter an Address, APN, Tract & Lot, or pick the parcel off an interactive map to retrieve a full report. Report includes information on Zoning, Flood Zone, Fault Zone, Assessor data, Council District and Member, School District, Redevelopment Project Area, CDBG Target Area, Focus Area, Moreno Valley Electric Utility Service Area, Trash Pick Up day, and Street Sweeping day and Calendar.
