Library services reduced

The Riverside County’s bookmobile will no longer provide services at the Moreno Valley Library on Saturdays. The County bookmobile, which offers services while Moreno Valley’s Library is being repaired, will still be available on Fridays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on Mondays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The only exception is Monday, February 20th, 2006, which is a County holiday.

The Library’s motor home, which also provided information to patrons, has also been discontinued. Staff will be available to answer general questions by telephone. The number is 413-3880.

The city is still in negotiations to lease space where limited library services will be provided temporarily. It is anticipated that this temporary library site will open in April, 2006.

In the meantime customers can go to the Perris or Woodcrest library branches during those locations' respective business hours. The Perris Branch is located at 163 E. San Jacinto in Perris (cross streets: Perris/E. San Jacinto), phone (951) 657-2358; the Woodcrest Branch is located at 17024 Van Buren (corner of Van Buren/Washington, Stater Bros. Center), phone (951) 789-7320. The online catalog is available on each of the following websites: or
