MVTV-3 wins four national awards

Moreno Valley’s government access cable television channel, MVTV-3, has won four national awards from Pegasus Awards. Pegasus Awards are the video industry’s premier competition for recognition of exemplary work produced by non-broadcast video professionals.

MVTV-3 won three Pegasus “Awards of Excellence” for its American Sign Language PSA, Multi-Use Trail System video, and interactive DVD on MVTV-3 products. A Pegasus “Award of Honor” was given for the City’s news program, “City Watch.” Three industry professionals and one end user assessed the productions. The “end user” judged the entries on overall appearance, conveyance of message, clarity, presentation, etc., while the "industry professional" judges looked at technical aspects as well as message and presentation.

"We're pleased to receive these prestigious awards from Pegasus,” said Production Coordinator, Steve Jacobs. "Each person on the MVTV-3 team has really developed their skills as video producers in the last few years, and I’m glad to see that professionals in our industry have taken note,” he said.

The Pegasus Awards were developed by video professionals for video professionals. The directors of this prestigious competition have over 30 years of broadcast and corporate video experience.

MVTV-3 staff members are: Louis Rocha, Dominic Durden, Rob Roseen, Rod Labuni, Steve Jacobs and Angela Rushen. This is MVTV-3’s 10th national award and 21st overall award since 2001.
