City of Moreno Valley presents
Business Breakthrough event
The City of Moreno Valley is pleased to present a special event called the Business Breakthrough to be held on Saturday, September 22, 2007, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Moreno Valley Conference and Recreation Center, 14075 Frederick Street, in Moreno Valley. The program will be hosted by the City of Moreno Valley in partnership with the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), Inland Empire Small Business Development Center (SBDC), Moreno Valley Chamber of Commerce, and the Moreno Valley Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.
The Business Breakthrough event is designed to give small business owners and entrepreneurs the opportunity to meet one-on-one with lenders, receive free on-site business counseling and meet with a variety of local business service providers. A wide range of informational workshops will be offered including:
- How to get a business loan
- Understanding financials
- How to write a business plan
- Effective marketing strategies
- Government procurement and contracting opportunities
- Evaluating current business conditions to maximize profitability
A variety of SBA lenders will be present including the following lending institutions:
- Wells Fargo
- California Bank and Trust
- PFF Bank & Trust
- Banco Popular
- East West Bank
- U.S. Bank
- So Cal Reinvestment CDFI
Representatives from the Service Core of Retired Executives (SCORE) will also be on hand to provide no-cost small business counseling.
