MVTV-3 wins four national awards

Moreno Valley’s government access cable television channel, MVTV-3, has won four national awards from Pegasus Awards. Pegasus Awards are the video industry’s premier competition for recognition of exemplary work produced by non-broadcast video professionals.

MVTV-3 won two Pegasus “Awards of Excellence” for its Roller Hockey Public Services Announcement and interactive DVD highlighting MVTV-3 programs. A Pegasus “Award of Honor” was given for the City’s public safety program, Safety 1st: Home Burglaries. Three industry professionals and one end user assessed the productions. The “end user” judged the entries on overall appearance, conveyance of message, clarity, presentation, etc., while the "industry professional" judges looked at technical aspects as well as message and presentation.

"We're very excited to receive these prestigious awards from Pegasus,” said Assistant to the City Manager, Angela Rushen. "MVTV-3 has increased the quantity and quality of our television productions, and it’s nice to be recognized for our efforts to inform the Moreno Valley community,” she said.
