Mayor’s Gala to Raise Funds for Reading Program

The City of Moreno Valley and the Moreno Valley Chamber of Commerce are hosting the 2008 Mayor’s City Celebration Gala on Saturday, December 6, 2008. This annual event, which includes dinner, a silent auction, and entertainment, benefits a local non-profit organization selected by the Mayor. This year Mayor William H. Batey II has selected the Inland Empire Reading Scholarship Program as the beneficiary of funds raised at the event.

The Mayor’s City Celebration Gala will be held at the Moreno Valley Conference and Recreation Center located at 14075 Frederick Street. A reception starts at 6:00 p.m., with dinner served at 7:00 p.m. The cost of the event is $85 and reservations for the Gala may be made by contacting the Chamber of Commerce at 951.697.4404.
