Mosquito treatments scheduled Action comes in response to mosquito pools testing positive for West NileIn the effort to prevent the spread of the West Nile virus carried by mosquitoes, Riverside County Vector Control will spray an insecticide in some areas of Moreno Valley where mosquito pools that tested positive for the virus were discovered. The treatment, also referred to as “fogging,” is scheduled for the evening of August 27 and will take place in the following locations:
County officials will also “fog” hiking and horse trails near these locations. Signs have been posted in these areas to notify residents of the scheduled insecticide treatment. For more information, contact Riverside County Vector control at 951.766.9454. |
