Mosquito treatments scheduled Action comes in response to mosquito pools testing positive for West Nile

In the ongoing effort to prevent the spread of the West Nile virus carried by mosquitoes, Riverside County Vector Control will spray an insecticide in some areas of Moreno Valley where mosquito pools that tested positive for the virus were discovered.

The treatment, also referred to as “fogging,” is scheduled for the evening of September 30 and will take place in the following locations:

  • Oliver Street, Rockwood Avenue, and John F. Kennedy Drive
  • Sycamore Canyon Road and Waterfall Circle
  • Mountain View Road and Country Gate Road

County officials will also “fog” hiking and horse trails near these locations. Signs will be posted on September 29 to notify residents of the scheduled insecticide treatment.
