Moreno Valley Police Recover Stolen Items

On December 23, 2008, the Moreno Valley Police Department Burglary Suppression Team (BST) searched a home in the 14000 block of Perham Drive, Moreno Valley. During the search, the officers seized a large amount of property which they suspected may have been stolen.

During subsequent investigation, BST officers discovered that some of the property had been stolen during three residential burglaries in Moreno Valley and one vehicle burglary in Los Angeles County. The bulk of the property, however, remains unidentified. The Moreno Valley Police Department is requesting help from the public to identify the origin of the remaining property.

The property includes computers, digital cameras, video games consoles and games, MP3 players, jewelry, watches, and various other items. Anyone who claims the items in question will be asked to provide a police report and will be required to provide satisfactory proof of ownership before any property is released.

Anyone who may have information that could lead to the rightful owners of the recovered property is asked to contact Officer Pat Mushinski at 951-486-6800.

Since its inception in February 2007, the Moreno Valley Police Department Burglary Suppression Team has arrested a total of 501 suspects and recovered hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of stolen property. Anyone with information related to burglaries or thefts occurring in the city of Moreno Valley is encouraged to contact the BST at 951-486-6800. Anonymous tips are welcomed.
