Moreno Valley Trash Pick-up and Street Sweeping Schedules to Change

City of Moreno Valley Public Works staff has been actively working with Waste Management, Inc. to accommodate refuse pick-up schedule changes. These changes are being implemented in order to improve the efficiency of Moreno Valley routes. The street sweeping schedule has been modified to accommodate the proposed changes. This coordination modifies the street sweeping schedule to ensure that the trash service and street sweeping service are not scheduled to occur on the same day and, whenever possible, that street sweeping service is scheduled to occur one to four days following the trash service.

Existing and proposed trash and street sweeping service days, as well as the first day of new service, are detailed for each of the subareas and are available on the City’s Web site:

Residents affected by the changes will be notified by Waste Management through a postcard and autodial phone calls prior to the change, both of which will contain trash service schedule and street sweeping schedule change information, as appropriate. The changes will also be updated on the City’s Web site. Lastly, “no parking” signs will be modified to coincide with the new street sweeping day in advance of the street sweeping schedule change going into effect. Waste Management’s trash service schedule changes will begin as of August 24. Street sweeping schedule changes will begin as of August 28.
