Mayor’s Gala to Raise Funds for Scouting Program

The City of Moreno Valley and the Moreno Valley Chamber of Commerce are hosting the 2009 Mayor’s City Celebration Gala on Saturday, October 17. This annual event, which includes dinner, a silent auction, and entertainment, benefits a local non-profit organization selected by the Mayor. This year Mayor Richard A. Stewart has selected the Boy Scouts of America Inland Empire Council, 5 Nations District as the beneficiary of funds raised through the silent auction.

The Mayor’s City Celebration Gala will be held at the Moreno Valley Conference and Recreation Center located at 14075 Frederick Street. A reception starts at 6:00 p.m., with dinner served at 7:00 p.m. The cost of the event is $65 for members of the Chamber of Commerce and $75 for non-members. The prices to attend the event increase an additional $10 after October 2. Reservations for the Mayor’s Gala are required and may be made by contacting the Chamber of Commerce at 951.697.4404.
