Sandbags Available to the Public

As a service to Moreno Valley residents, sandbags are available at a number of locations. Sandbags and sand are available at the City Yard, 15670 Perris Boulevard, on Monday through Thursday from 7:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. (holidays excluded). The number of sandbags is typically limited to 25 per person unless special circumstances require more than this amount. Residents are encouraged to bring their own shovels. Sandbags filled by community services workers are available at the City Yard for elderly and handicapped residents. Loose sand (no sandbags) is also available at the corner of Alessandro and Redlands at the Post Office property, at the Conference and Recreation Center overflow parking lot at Veterans Way and Alessandro Boulevard, and at the City Yard visitor parking lot immediately south of the City Yard main building.

While all Moreno Valley Fire Stations have sandbags available to the public, the majority of the sandbags are available at Moreno Beach Station 58 located at 28040 Eucalyptus Avenue. Residents can pick up sandbags at the fire stations at any time, preferably between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. There is a limit of 25 bags per address.
