Writers Launch Pad Free Workshop

Moreno Valley Parks and Community Services and the Moreno Valley Arts Commission will host “The Writers Launch Pad,” a free workshop focused on helping writers bring their work to market and launching their careers. The workshop will be held on March 20, from 10 a.m. - 12 noon at the March Field Air Museum (Theater) located at 22550 Van Buren Boulevard.

Presenters include thriller writer Graham Brown, author of Black Rain and the upcoming Black Sun, speaking on how he took his career from unknown author to a multi-book contract. Also appearing is Madelyn Cain, author of Laffit: Anatomy of a Winner and The Childless Revolution: What it Means to Be Childless Today. She’ll discuss how non-fiction writers prepare a selling book proposal for agents and publishers — a subject she teaches in the Master of Professional Writing program at USC.

The first 100 people to pre-register will receive free admission to the museum — an $8 value. Pre-Register with Eric von Mizener, Arts Commissioner at the following e-mail: DEADLINE TO REGISTER is Friday, March 19, at 5:00 p.m.
