The City of Moreno Valley Launches Online Mapping Tool to Attract Business

The City of Moreno Valley is launching today, making access to powerful business information research only a mouse-click away.

As economic development becomes increasingly more crucial for the City of Moreno Valley and its recovery from the recession, providing quality property and site selection information is critical.  More than ninety percent of initial site selection screening for new and expanding business is now done online.  Thus, a primary goal of the new web site is to simplify the process for site selectors or business owners when preparing for location, relocation and expansion decisions.

According to Barry Foster, Economic Development Director for the City of Moreno Valley, " gathers economic, planning, infrastructure, geographic, and demographic information often sought by expanding businesses into a 'one-stop-shop' business portal on the Web.  Users can find available commercial properties and develop custom demographic radius reports within minutes.” will dramatically speed up the process of finding the best location for businesses by efficiently answering the core questions that businesses have when making site selection decisions:

  • What buildings and land are available in our community?
  • What are the market characteristics (demographics, workforce, spending)?
  • What are the business synergies and opportunities in unique locations of our community?
  • What are the unique geographic characteristics and advantages? allows visitors to rapidly tailor maps and reports to suit their needs and access data that could normally take weeks to collect and thousands of dollars to obtain from specialty data researchers.  For example, available properties can be viewed, along with corresponding demographic reports such as labor force and consumer spending.  In addition, businesses are mapped by industry showing their distribution and concentrations throughout the area. also serves to strengthen the partnership between the City of Moreno Valley and commercial real estate professionals, enabling the City of Moreno Valley to promote available properties and real estate professionals to attract new and better jobs to the region.  "The website is tangible evidence of City of Moreno Valley's commitment to partnering with the commercial real estate community.  This outstanding site will be an invaluable tool to inform and convince corporate real estate executives and businesses of the economic opportunities found in the City of Moreno Valley.  The Fritz Duda Co. looks forward to leveraging this technology,” said John Loper, Vice President of Development with the Fritz Duda Co.
