July 4th Parade Winners Announced

The City of Moreno Valley announces the trophy winners for the 2010 July 4th Parade. The following were selected by the parade judges out of a total of 55 parade entries:

Sweepstakes: Cub Scout Pack 210
Theme Trophy: Knights of Columbus
Mayor and Council Trophy: National History Day
Chamber of Commerce Trophy: March Air Museum
Outstanding Vehicle: Riverside County Fire
Most Humorous: Turning Point Pentecostal Church
Outstanding Commercial Entry: Navy Operations Support Center
Outstanding Non-Commercial Entry: Moreno Valley Parks & Recreation Commission Outstanding Musical Unit (Marching): Moreno Valley All City Youth Band
Outstanding Musical Unit (Stationary): Filipino Hawaiian Association
Outstanding Marching/Drill Unit (16 Years or Younger): California Youth Spirit Outstanding Marching/Drill Unit (17 years and above): Wilsonnettes
Outstanding Equestrian Entry (Single Entry): Arabian Spirit
Outstanding Equestrian Group Entry (More than one rider): Arabian Spirit

Broadcast live on MVTV-3, the City’s local government access channel, the parade will also be available for viewing on the City’s Web site and re-broadcast on Channel 3 at 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. beginning July 19th. DVDs of the parade broadcast will be available for purchase from the City for $2.
