Reward Fund Established for Information on Murdered Teen

The City of Moreno Valley has established a fund at Wells Fargo bank to accept donations toward a reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the perpetrator(s) responsible for killing 17-year-old Norma Lopez. A Moreno Valley resident, authorities believe Norma was abducted on July 15th while walking home from summer school. Police recovered her body on July 20th in a field at Theodore Street and Dracaea Avenue, approximately 2 miles from where Norma was last seen.

The City of Moreno Valley, U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation, and Riverside County Supervisor Marion Ashley are offering a combined reward of $35,000. Anyone wanting to donate toward the “Norma Lopez Reward Fund” may do so in any of the following ways:

Donations of cash or check may also be given to the cashier on the 1st floor of the Moreno Valley City Hall at 14177 Frederick Street or at any branch of Wells Fargo Bank.
