Commitment to a Fire Safe Community

The Moreno Valley Fire Department has partnered with Liberty Mutual to educate the residents of Moreno Valley about Fire Safety. The “Be Fire Smart Fire Safety Pledge” program began on September 1 and will run through October 31. Residents can go to where they can learn how to make their homes fire safe. There is an interactive game for children, a short video about fire safety, and information on what families can do to prevent a fire in their homes.

One neighborhood can make a big difference by dedicating themselves to fire awareness and safety. The Moreno Valley Fire Department would like to encourage everyone to take the fire safety quiz at the website. Each person who takes the quiz is showing their commitment to a fire safe community. They are also helping the Moreno Valley Fire Department compete for a $10,000 grant from Liberty Mutual which will be utilized to purchase public education materials for children. Ten grants will be given out to the top ten fire safe communities nationwide. For further information, please contact Cindy Owens at 951.413.3030.
