Open House at Moreno Valley
Employment Resource Center
The City of Moreno Valley and the Riverside County Workforce Board will celebrate the expansion of the Moreno Valley Employment Resource Center (ERC) on Monday, October 25, at 9:00 a.m. This expansion will allow for an increase in the number of services to jobseekers and businesses from the local area by providing additional classroom and office space.
The ERC offers unemployed or underemployed Moreno Valley residents the use of computers to access the internet to search for employment opportunities, prepare resumes, fax job applications and/or apply for unemployment benefits. Other services at the Moreno Valley ERC include Employment Information Workshops, a Resource Library, “Hot Jobs” Announcement Board, and California Career Videos. The Center averages over 150 visitors each day.
Partnering agencies can now use the expanded space to provide services to jobseekers and the business community. Currently, the Employment Resource Center hosts a job placement representative from Goodwill Southern California who conducts job search workshops. The State of California Employment Development Department has also stationed a representative for the Operation Welcome Home Program for Veterans that works with recently returned veterans. The new space will also allow Business Solutions Representatives from Riverside County Workforce Development Centers to be on site to assist companies with such business programs as hiring incentives, recruitment, labor market and human resource information. The Riverside County Workforce Development Centers are a division of the Riverside County Economic Development Agency.
Businesses interested in utilizing any of the services at the Moreno Valley Employment Resource Center or general inquiries may call (951) 413-3920 or visit 12625 Frederick Street, Moreno Valley, Suite K-3.
