Moreno Valley Plans Special Sunset Ceremony for Veterans Day

The City of Moreno Valley will be holding a special sunset Veterans Day ceremony on Thursday, November 11 at 4:30 p.m. at the Veterans Memorial. The Memorial is located on Memorial Circle at the Moreno Valley Civic Center. The ceremony will include remarks from Mayor Bonnie Flickinger and members of the City Council. In honor of all who have served and are continuing to serve our country, Mayor Flickinger will lay a wreath at the Memorial with the assistance of members of the Knights of Columbus, A.F. Chelbana Assembly.

Pavers surrounding the Memorial include the names of both current and veteran military personnel. At this year’s ceremony new pavers will be on display at the Memorial. Additionally, military banners honoring Moreno Valley’s servicemen and women will be unveiled on Veterans Day. The initial installation of military banners will remember those Moreno Valley residents who were killed in action while serving our nation and will be displayed around the Veterans Memorial. Military banners honoring active duty service personnel are available for purchase.
