For immediate release: March 14, 2022

Santiago Park Grand Opening

The City of Moreno Valley is pleased to announce the opening of Santiago Park, the newest jewel in the City's "parks crown," on Wednesday, March 23.

Santiago Park will be Moreno Valley's 33rd park. The park features a fitness area that allows residents to perform 84 different exercises, the first of its kind in Southern California. The park also features a playground, walking trail, acres of green space, basketball courts, and picnic shelters.

"Our 33 parks serve as the beating heart of Moreno Valley," said Dr. Yxstian Gutierrez, Mayor of Moreno Valley. "They’re places where the community can gather, celebrate milestones, take a leisurely walk, and spend a beautiful day outside. I am proud that Moreno Valley is opening more parks and trails for residents of all ages to enjoy."

Santiago Park results from a public-private partnership between the City of Moreno Valley and Meritage Homes. The park is located at 24731 Tiger Avenue, next to March Middle School.

Mayor Gutierrez and the Moreno Valley City Council will be on hand to cut the ribbon to officially open Santiago Park on Wednesday, March 23 at 2 p.m. The Moreno Valley community is welcome to attend the grand opening ceremony.
