Community Emergency Response Team (CERT)
The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) is a program managed by Emergency Operations and Volunteer Services. Members are trained to respond to disasters and work effectively with emergency responders by utilizing medical, triage, light search and rescue, disaster fire suppression, damage assessments and cribbing and leveraging techniques.
After completing our CERT program, you will be armed with the knowledge to help yourself, your family, your school, church, business and your community. All graduates participate in a simulated disaster exercise utilizing live moulaged victims. Upon completion, graduates receive a CERT backpack with a hard hat and vest, and an official Certificate of Completion.
