Recyclable Material Accepted Free of Charge

City of Moreno Valley residents are able to dispose of recyclable material (including e-waste) at no cost at the Transfer Station during business hours.

Acceptable Items for Disposal at the Landfill

Regular house-hold trash and greenwaste is accepted at the landfill. In addition, the landfill accepts certain special types of waste with restrictions.

  • TV, Monitors, CRT and Consumer Electronics Recycling (e-waste)
    Normally, these items can not be disposed of at the landfill. However, Riverside County  Waste Management accepts residential TVs, monitors, CRTs and other consumer electronic e-waste for recycling at the Badlands Landfill. Residents may bring in up to 3 CRT-type devices per trip. A minimum fee is charged for loads up to 800 lbs.

    Business e-waste is not accepted at this time.

    You can also dispose of residential e-waste at the next Household Hazardous Waste Event . These events are held in February, March, June and October at the City of Moreno Valley Maintenance Facility located at 15670 Perris Blvd. Find out when the next event will be...
  • Tire Recyling
    Our Fee Rates are $1.00 per tire, for up to 9 tires (the legal limit to haul tires is a maximum of 9 tires per trip, unless hauling vehicle is a Registered Tire Hauler).

    If you are hauling a load of tires and solid waste, the $1.00 per tire is charged in addition to the regular refuse fee. If you are hauling more than 9 tires, and tire manifest documentation is provided, the load is charged a fee.
