City's M on Box Springs Mountain to Sport High Schools' Colors

Special Lightings to Coincide with Schools' Graduation Events

From Monday, June 8, through Friday, June 12, the iconic M on Box Springs Mountain will be lighted in honor of Moreno Valley high schools and their graduates from the Moreno Valley and Val Verde unified school districts. The lightings will feature schools' colors on the evenings of their scheduled graduation events.

"We hope every member of the high school Class of 2020 in our City feels recognized and honored, especially since they can't have a traditional commencement ceremony," explained Dr. Yxstian Gutierrez, Mayor of Moreno Valley. "We're proud of their achievement and wish them each the very best."

Several high schools have graduation events scheduled for the same days. Their colors will take turns for one minute at a time, separated by a five-second break. The lighting schedule is as follows:

June 8
March Mountain High School, gold
Moreno Valley Online Academy, burgundy
Rancho Verde High School, red and silver

June 9
Canyon Springs High School, teal (black can't be lighted)

June 10
Moreno Valley High School, blue and gold

June 11
Valley View High School, red and white

June 12
Bayside Community Day School, green and gold
Vista del Lago High School, purple and silver

La M en Box Springs Mountain de la Ciudad Brillara en Los Colores de las Escuelas Secundarias
Iluminaciones Especiales Para Coordinar Con Los Eventos de Graduación de Las Escuelas

Desde el lunes 8 de junio hasta el viernes 12 de junio, la icónica M en Box Springs Mountain se iluminará en honor a las escuelas secundarias de Moreno Valley y a los graduados de los distritos escolares unificados de Moreno Valley y Val Verde. Las iluminaciones serán de los colores de las escuelas en las noches de sus eventos de graduación programados.

"Esperamos que todos los graduados de la Clase 2020 de las escuelas secundarias en nuestra Ciudad se sientan reconocidos y honrados, especialmente porque no pueden tener una ceremonia de graduación tradicional," explicó el Dr. Yxstian Gutiérrez, Alcalde de Moreno Valley. "Estamos orgullosos de sus logros y les deseamos lo mejor a cada uno."

Varias escuelas secundarias tienen eventos de graduación programados para los mismos días. Sus colores se turnarán durante un minuto a la vez, separados por un descanso de cinco segundos. El horario de iluminación es el siguiente:

Moreno Valley Online Academy, borgoña
Rancho Verde High School, rojo y plata

9 de junio
