New Coronavirus Testing Site Opens at Cottonwood Golf Center
For immediate release: June 23, 2020
Beginning Wednesday, June 24, Moreno Valley will have a new coronavirus testing site at Cottonwood Golf Center, 13671 Frederick St. It will be open Wednesday - Saturday, June 24 - June 27, and then Monday - Friday beginning Monday, June 29. Hours are 7 a.m. - 7 p.m., and testing is by appointment only. Appointments can be scheduled by phone at 888-634-1123 or online at lhi.care/covidtesting.
"We encourage everyone to take advantage of this opportunity to get tested," said Dr. Yxstian Gutierrez, Mayor of Moreno Valley. "It's free and it will help health professionals better understand the virus."
"Testing is available for all ages," added Mayor Pro Tem Victoria Baca, "Although the virus tends to hit older people harder, more data is needed to understand how it effects young people, too. I'm going to get tested and I urge others to, as well."
Riverside County also operates a testing site at CrossWord Christian Church. It's located at 21401 Box Springs Road, and is open Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. Call to make an appointment at 1-800-945-6171.
Testing at Riverside County Public Health-run testing sites is open to anyone, regardless of whether they have symptoms, and there are no out-of-pocket costs. Participants will be asked to provide information about their health insurance, but will be allowed to get tested even if they do not have insurance.
