Help Moreno Valley Animal Shelter, NBC4/Telemundo "Clear the Shelters" on Sat., Aug. 15
Through August, Donations to Animal Shelter Will be Matched!

Supporters of the Moreno Valley Animal Shelter and the many pets it rescues have a chance to do a lot of good during the month of August as the Shelter joins with NBC4/Telemundo to "Clear the Shelters." The annual event, set in Moreno Valley for Sat., Aug. 15, encourages pet adoption with deeply discounted pet adoption fees of just $20 -- a savings in some cases of as much as $100 or more.
In addition, the "Clear the Shelters" campaign is partnering with GreaterGood.org to provide matching funds for every dollar donated to the Moreno Valley Animal Shelter any time during August up to a maximum match of $10,000.
"What a tremendous opportunity to help the Shelter continue its life-saving work," said Dr. Yxstian Gutierrez, Mayor of Moreno Valley. "Residents can adopt a beautiful cat or dog for next to nothing and make a donation to the Shelter that will be doubled and still leave having saved a lot of money."
The discounted $20 fee for both cats and dogs includes spay/neuter surgery, a HomeAgain microchip with lifetime registration, and vaccinations. An additional $15 license is required for dogs.
Due to coronavirus, Animal Shelter visits are by appointment only. Those looking for a pet to adopt should use the Pet Search function on the City of Moreno Valley website to see an up-to-date listing of available pets.
Shelter hours are Tues. - Fri., 10:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m., and Sat., 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. It can be reached by phone at 951-413-3790, and by email at animalshelter@moval.org.
Donations to the Moreno Valley Animal Shelter can be made online at www.GreaterGood.org. All donations will be matched up to a maximum total of $10,000.
