Fireworks Information

The City of Moreno Valley would like to wish everyone a happy and safe 4 th of July. As a reminder, using fireworks in most areas of Riverside County is prohibited by state and local law.

fireworksFireworks can cause death, injury, or severe property damage. Any person causing a fire which results in these circumstances can be held civilly and criminally liable. All fireworks, even sparklers, are potentially harmful. The most frequent victims are children. Please protect your children and do not allow them to handle fireworks.

Moreno Valley Police and Fire Departments have taken a stance of zero tolerance toward illegal fireworks. People caught using, storing, or transporting fireworks may be subject to citation, fines, and/or arrest.

Citizens are encouraged to attend the City of Moreno Valley's fireworks celebration on July 4 th , which will be located at Morrison Park . Morrison Park is located at the corner of Dracaea and Morrison and will begin at 12:00 PM and end at 9:30 PMillegal fireworks.

In addition, the Moreno Valley Police Department has established a hotline for citizens to report fireworks disturbances and violations. The following information is provided for citizens to conveniently report matters involving fireworks.
