City Council
Incorporated in 1984, Moreno Valley is a general law city operating with
a Council-Manager form of government.
The policy-making City Council consists
of five members, elected by district to serve staggered four-year terms. The Mayor and Mayor Pro Tem are elected
by the City Council from its members.
The council appoints the City
Manager, who oversees the daily operations of the City.
